Welcome to Black Horse Trails! I am Andrea, the new owner of Black Horse Trails along with my son Neo and the most lovely horses in the land! More than half of our horses are rescues. We rescue them either from neglect, abandonment, abuse and even near death. We are a relaxed and friendly bunch and would like to welcome you to come and enjoy a precious few hours of your holiday time here with us. As a family run business, I can ensure a personal experience and share with you my passion for these sentient beings. I was born in Germany and moved to South Africa 20 years ago. I consider myself a pure-blooded South African. I am fluent in German, Spanish and of course, English Our rides venture out from our ranch into the indigenous forests of the Outeniqua mountains in the Wilderness outlines. We are the only trail ride in the area to offer this much indigenous forest for you to find your peace in. We also do not travel along any tar or any gravel roads. We moved relocated from our old farm to this slice of paradise as it was  better suited place for us to offer you the best and most beautiful rides in the Eden district. We have suitable steeds for any level of experience. From beginner riders to experts, everyone is welcome! Go to our horses page to see who would be the most suitable steed for you. Included with all our rides is a 10% discount voucher for Zucchini Restaurant situated in Timberlake Village on the N2 between Wilderness and Sedgefield. Please note that we are a cash only business. There are no credit card facilities this far out in paradise. You can arrange to do an EFT payment beforehand if you prefer, and bring/send the proof of payment. Timberlake Village is a safe, fun and natural village located on the N2 between Sedgefield and Wilderness. Its charm comes with its relaxed environment, local foods and healthy outdoor activities. It is the perfect place to bring the whole family for a day out or to just to pop in for some snacks whilst you are travelling through the Garden Route. With shops, restaurants and playgrounds, Timberlake Village is a must visit on your holiday! Zucchini Restaurant is a very special and unique dining experience. Voted in the top 20 restaurants of the garden route,  Zucchini Restaurant is not to be missed!

Pause Coffee Roastery  is a unique artisan coffee roastery experience. As well as freshly ground coffee they offer a selection of freshly pressed juices, home-made cakes and a host of items you will regret not trying!

The Tea Junxion is a beautiful setting in Wilderness Heights. Supplying you with only the best Home Made goods, including a salad made fresh from the garden. A hidden gem tucked sweetly away under a cover of trees right at the nursery. A must see for those looking for a meal in nature.
