Welcome to Black Horse Trails website, I am Andrea, the new owner of Black Horse Trails, with my son Neo, and the most lovely horses in the land! More then half of our horses are rescued by us, either from neglect, abandonment or even abuse and near death. We are a relaxed and friendly bunch and would like to welcome you to come and enjoy a precious few hours of your holiday time here with us. As an owner run business, I can share my passion of horses with you.

I am born in Germany, moved here 20 years ago and consider myself a pure South African, so speak German fluently. I am also fluent in Spanish and of course English.

Our rides venture out from our ranch into the indigenous forests of the Outeniqua mountains in the Wilderness outlines. We are the only ones in the area that have most indigenous forests, no tar roads or gravel roads to ride along. We moved from our old farm, because now we can offer the best and most beautiful rides in Eden.
We have suitable steeds for any level of experience you may or may not have on a horses back, everyone is welcome!
Go to our horses page to see who would be the most suitable steed for you.

Included with all our rides is a 10% discount voucher for Zucchini Restaurant situated in Timberlake Village on the N2 between Wilderness and Sedgefield.

Please note that we are a cash only business. There are no credit card facilities on the farm. You can arrange to do an eft beforehand if you prefer, and bring/send the proof of payment.

Timberlake Village is a safe, fun and natural village and its association with slow, local foods and healthy outdoor activities mean that it is the perfect place to bring the whole family for the day or to just to pop in whilst you are travelling through the Garden Route. With shops, restaurants and playgrounds, Timberlake is a must to visit on your holiday! Timberlake Village
